Imagine looking at ads on Craigslist one day and seeing your family home for rent, only you didn’t post the ad and have no intentions of renting out your home.
That’s what happened to Lourdes Guerrero, who owns a home in the greater Los Angeles area, according to a local CBS news affiliate.
A friend reportedly showed Guerrero the ad, and she called the listed phone number. The man on the other end “went silent when she told him she was the homeowner,” according to the CBS2 report.
The news affiliate called the number later and received a “mailbox full” message. Fortunately, the ad did not include Guerrero’s address, according to the report.

The number of homeowners who install smart devices in their homes is set to swell as more “Internet of Things” technologies like smart thermostats and furniture hit the market.
The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) expects unit sales of such devices to reach 20.7 million in 2014, with that number jumping to 35.9 million by 2017.
Thirteen percent of broadband households already own at least one smart-home gadget, according to a survey released by the trade group in October.
Consumers are keen on smart lights and smart thermostats, while smart door locks, smoke detectors and garage door openers are popular gifts, the survey found.

The Twin Cities- based JimBergTeam.com at Re/Max Results has launched a new mobile search app, ResultsRadar, for iPhone, iPad and Android devices that incorporates augmented reality technology.
ResultsRadar overlays property information such as pictures and property description when the phone's camera is pointed at a property, and indicates the location and proximity of other properties for sale nearby.
In addition to retreiving MLS-derived property information, the app pulls additional property details that the brokerage may have about the property.
